Goshin Jutsu Karate Defend with Honor!

"Training is really something that needs to be experienced rather than explained. It is the only way to know." - Sensei Scott Mullins

Goshin Jutsu Karate and Class Format:

The student is trained by the instructor through repetition and conditioning that is sometimes viewed as tedious by the student, but that is considered essential by the instructor to develop instinctive, and explosive responses to unexpected attacks. Over time the student will, as they progress, build up a strong dynamic spirit learning to apply adaptability, flexibility, and subtlety to their defense in new, dangerous, and potentially life-threatening situations.

KATA
Goshin Jutsu Karate Katas are taught for both empty hand, as well as weapons applications.
WAZA
Each waza is a series of pre-arranged counters to an attack. The student learns techniques, and how he or she moves with their opponent.

Wazas are taught for both empty hand, as well as weapons applications.

KUMITE
Kumite(Literally: The Blending of Hands). Kumite can be basically understood to the newcomer as sparring, and is designed, in a controlled and supervised setting, to allow the student to begin to learn how to actually apply what he or she has learned to actual combat.
